Historical Destination Egypt
Egypt – Land of the Pharaohs
This country is the most-often cited place in the Bible after Iraq. The pharaohs who ruled Egypt for several millennia also gave it its pyramids and mummies. It is simply incredible that Egypt is still around today with its massive monuments which are engineering marvels in themselves. The massive stones used to build the pyramids weight several thousand tons! These stones were placed into position without modern cranes but engineering ingenuity.

White Desert
Much of Egypt today is poor, a victim of mismanagement and wrong policies of the government. But during its heyday in Biblical times, peoples and kingdoms trembled at its might. A pharaoh can issue edicts and his word is the absolute law. There is nothing anyone can do about what he says.

Luxor temple
This absolute monarchism is revealed in the stories of the Bible where the Jewish tribes were banished and enslaved. The great stories of Moses and the Ten Commandments were set in the locations of Egypt. This was even made into a movie that won the most number of Oscars – a distinction unsurpassed by several subsequent great movies such as the “Titanic”.
A travel to visit is guaranteed to perk up even the most jaded world traveller.
